Our philosophy
Palate is a family-owned restaurant with a strong focus on seasonal ingredients. We believe that good meals are even better when shared, and our style of dining is inspired by the Mediterranean tradition of placing dishes at the center of the table for everyone to enjoy together. Our commitment is to serve real, artisanal food that celebrates the very best produce available to us.
Our menu draws inspiration from both Italy and France, beautifully combined with the flavors of Scandinavia. We strive to excel not only in food, but also in sustainability, atmosphere, and service. At Palate, we want to offer our guests an informal yet discreetly luxurious experience, where every mouthful is a journey through taste and texture.
Our Menu
At Palate, we believe food tastes best when it’s shared. We like to begin with a few small bites from our snack menu – little temptations to awaken the appetite and set the tone for what’s to come. From our open charcoal grill, we serve carefully prepared cuts of meat and fresh fish, cooked with precision and respect for the ingredients. Our daily handmade pasta is always a favorite – simple, honest, and full of flavor.
With a variety of side dishes to choose from, you can tailor your meal to your own tastes and create a dining experience that feels personal.

Our Place
Palate Restaurant is located right in the heart of Oslobukta in Bjørvika, where you'll find some of the best the capital has to offer in terms of culture, art and dining experiences, including the Opera, the Munch Museum and Deichman Bjørvika. With us, you can enjoy a meal inside our bright and beautiful premises or on our outdoor terrace with heating lamps and umbrellas.
